Default My race bike build! (lots o pics!! :) )

well, its a bit late on this lol but im not done yet either!!! hehehe so i picked up an 08 600rr last summer with frame damage.....

then i got to work stripping everything down and swapping out the frame...

then got to put her all back together and replace the few plastics signals and mis pieces that were missing...but before i could finish...a large brown turd colored truck stopped by.....

then i decided...i want to track this thing....so that then began...

then got home....friend of mine opening a paint shop (Creative Custom Airbrush) made a sponsorship offer i couldnt refuse, and now.....

i am extremely happy with the turn out!!!

also had Scotty Ryan over at TSE work his magic on my suspension!!! rebuilt/resprung/20mmed forks and penski tripple clicker shock!!! spent a little bit of time at daytona tunin it in and feels great!!

Full mods list as of right now:
KR Tuned Exhaust (Full)
Vortex Sprockets (40/41/42/46r 15/16 f)
Galfer front and rear braided lines
EBC pads
Powercomander III
Sharkskins body work
Vortex Rear Sets
Woodcraft Clip-ons
GPR Steering dampner
Woodcraft Case Gaurds
Woodcraft Frame sliders (ebay no cut brackets lol from the original sliders)
Vortex swing arm sliders
...and i think thats it for now....cant wait to get into the MW CCS season although there is a good chance ill be missing the first two races heartland casue funds are short...and BHF because i have to go be all that i can be at ft mccoy but the rest of the season is looking fairly well as for attendence...hoping to fill the void with some track days lol

awesome slideshow/read, I wish I had the knowhow to strip a bike down like that and put it all back together, I'm always impressed with those who can, awesome looking honda!

yeah, its actually quite simple when u do it in a matter of a couple of days so u remember where things go lol....i always aproch projects like this with the most simplistic mind set possible and it all seems to work out...usually lol

Yeah, I was kind of thinking about that in my head i'm sure its not as bad as I think. Doing it in a couple of days is a good idea too . I always try to have a simplistic approach too KISS Keep It Simple Stupid, is something I always try to follow. Hopefully I can get out to some track days and hopefully watch CCS and watch the pictures come to life!

why do you actually use a steering damper on an 2008 when every test made with HEDS said it's the best thing ever made?

really?? i never heard that, but, when i was at mid-ohio last year i could not keep the bars streight for the life of me going over some of the elevation changes, and scared the crap out of me so i decided to change it....cant remember if i ever did get tank slap though so i guess its not a good reason cause even with the GPR or any dampner u get the front light enough or off the ground u will turn the wheel when leaned over...

but i do like the adjustability. i like to fiddle with things till they feel just right

never updated lol but i got a few more ponies out of her recently...had the head decked, pistons and cyls honed...and swapped to the HRC kit box. had Farrell do all the work and tune it for me and its running great!!!!

yeah jason did a KILLER job on it!! still getting walked a little by the AMA peeps and the CCS Superbike guys, but my budget is expended and i need to stay within both AMA and CCS super sport rules, but he got every last pony i could legally afford out of her!!!!!
